Employee or Independent Contractor based agency: Visiting Angels is an employee based agency that pays employer-based taxes (unemployment insurance, workers compensation, social security) for their caregivers. Should the client's caregiver become injured on the job while at the client's home, our agency will handle the injury claim through the workers compensation system. If an injury occurs while using an independent contractor agency, the client could be sued by the caregiver to cover the costs of their injury because they are not an employee of the independent contracting agency.

Caregiver Placement: At Visiting Angels you, the client, interview and select your caregiver. The caregivers we send to you must be approved by client. That caregiver stays with the client so long as the client and Visiting Angels are satisfied with the caregiver's performance. Our caregiver must continually earn the right to be your caregiver otherwise they will be replaced by someone else.

Experienced Caregivers: At our agency you won't be saddled with a new caregiver with no experience. We require a minimum of 1 year of full-time care giving experience to be considered a Visiting Angel. We also perform interviews and in-depth background and reference checks prior to making anyone a Visiting Angel to further ensure your peace of mind.

Field Checks: Unannounced field checks of caregivers and care recipients are also performed on a consistent basis. Personal visits to each client ensure that the client is happy with the care being provided and that the caregiver providing care is in-line with the expectations of the agency. Sole Owned & Operated: This agency is owned and operated by the same person. You deal directly with the owner and not an employee without a stake in the business. I'm available to you 24/7 when you have questions/comments/suggestions.

Additional Services: Our agency has both an AFA Qualified Dementia Care Provider and Notary Public on-staff available to clients at no charge should they need documents signed and notarized. We also can provide information on local service providers for such things as lawn or home repair that may be needed in addition to home care.
