In 1994, in a response to the need for quality housing for our senior citizens, Hilltop partnered to build The Atrium, a retirement living community, and in 1999 built The Fountains and later The Commons providing the finest services for assisted living and meeting the community’s need for high quality senior living options. Today, all of the original managers are still on staff in the facility and provide a rich experience due to their diverse backgrounds and kind, caring approach to residents. Our reputation for hospitality, service and quality is well known in the community and is experienced daily by our residents. The Fountains prides itself in its home-like atmosphere, customer service focus and well-trained and diversified staff. The Fountains provides an innovative approach to assisted living that is progressive when compared either locally or regionally. The key to The Fountains’ success lies in a clear understanding of what needs they can meet and a compassionate, creative approach in meeting them. The Fountains staff believes that the health and well being of the individual resident is our focus. The Fountains has established relationships with many of the medical providers in the valley. In fact, we have working relationships with home care agencies, private caregivers, discharge planners, nursing homes, physicians and Hospice. These relationships serve to enhance and extend the living experiences of the residents. The quality of service combined with the community relationships has allowed The Fountains to maintain a high rate of occupancy in its 75 apartments for most of its existence. Located at one of Grand Junction’s highest elevations, the views can be magnificent. The warm atmosphere of the building and the spacious individual apartments make it the most desirable of environments when seniors are faced with having to make difficult changes in living arrangements. Situated on 10 acres in a quiet, residential neighborhood, residents are close to cultural amenities, shopping and premier medical facilities. It's like eating at a fine restaurant One service that makes The Fountains so special is its full-service kitchen where spectacular food is prepared by our chef. Additionally, at each and every meal, residents can choose between daily specials or from a mouth-watering menu. Rest assured, staff is available 24 hours a day to provide comprehensive, loving care for each resident. We offer a Level of Care system so that residents are not charged for assistance and services they do not need. Our goal, through an initial assessment, is to determine the appropriate Level of Care and to provide quality, individualized service for each resident. Close proximity to premier medical facilities Many people do not realize that Grand Junction is the medical hub of Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. Therefore, the hospitals have the latest in medical technology and are staffed with superb physicians, nurses and technicians. The Fountains is located just blocks from the two major hospitals in the valley as well as to numerous physicians offices. And, of course, we provide transportation to any and all medical appointments. We're here for you If it becomes necessary for a resident to have additional medical attention, we work closely with home health agencies and Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado to help provide the best care possible. And, should a resident need hospitalization, we will maintain their apartment as long as needed. It is our goal to make sure each resident is as healthy and happy as possible in a secure, loving environment: a place they are proud to call home. The Fountains is a Hilltop Senior Living Community. A locally based, non-profit, Hilltop provides 24 community-based programs that foster self-sufficiency and enrich quality of life. With services ranging from prenatal to senior support, Hilltop serves 12,000 people each year and is dedicated to a healthy community.
