The Commons was completed in December of 2002 and consists of 141 apartments, ranging in size from studios to two bedrooms. Our facility boasts spacious and comfortable common areas that provide amenities such as a furnished library, high-speed Internet computers and a pool table/putting green area. The Carousel Garden Restaurant is one of the most valued features of The Commons; allowing residents and their guests to eat anytime between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm and either orders the Special of the Day or off of our menu. Laughter and lively conversation make the dining room especially inviting to new residents and the flexibility of eating times provides fertile ground for making new friends. Visitors often comment on how beautiful the physical facility of The Commons is. However, the greatest strength of The Commons is the compassionate, responsive and friendly care the residents receive. Staff pledges to “give unmatched customer service to all residents, guests and co-workers. This customer service will provide an elegant, yet warm and comfortable ambience that fulfills even the unexpressed needs. Therefore, we offer a variety of living options. The Commons features 84 studio suites, 24 one-bedroom suites and 32 two-bedroom suites, each with ample room and plenty of light. Nestled on 18 acres in a quiet residential setting, residents are close to cultural amenities, shopping and premier medical facilities. In addition, numerous services are included in the rent so residents have more time for relaxation and fun. Fabulous, nutritious meals are prepared by our own chef and, at each and every meal, residents can choose between daily specials or from a full menu. The gorgeous dining room, known as The Carousel Café, is spacious, comfortable and bright. Rest assured, staff is available 24 hours a day to provide comprehensive, loving care for each resident. We offer a Level of Care system so that residents are not charged for assistance and services they do not need. Our goal, through an initial assessment, is to determine the appropriate Level of Care and to provide quality, individualized service for each resident. Close proximity to premier medical facilities Many people do not realize that Grand Junction is the medical hub of Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. Therefore, the hospitals have the latest in medical technology and are staffed with superb physicians, nurses and technicians. The Commons is located just blocks from two major hospitals in the valley as well as to numerous physicians offices. And, of course, we provide transportation to any and all medical appointments. We're here for you If it becomes necessary for a resident to have additional medical attention, we work closely with home health agencies and Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado to help provide the best care possible. And, should a resident need hospitalization, we will maintain their apartment as long as needed. It is our goal to make sure each resident is as healthy and happy as possible in a secure, loving environment: a place they are proud to call home. The Commons is a Hilltop Senior Living Community.
