At Deer Meadow our team of professional caregivers strives to make this a reality. We listen closely to needs and concerns of each resident and their families, then design the ideal assisted living program. By doing so, we are able to meet and exceed the expectations of those we serve. Apartments at Deer Meadow are rented on a monthly basis. Our studio and one-bedroom apartments are carpeted, with individual climate control and emergency call systems. At Deer Meadow, you will enjoy the privacy of your own individual apartment within a community of care and support. A few of the wonderful things about Deer Meadow are: Rents are month to month (there are no buy-in fees). Each apartment is a private unit. The spacious apartments are carpeted and feature large accessible bathrooms. Each apartment has its own kitchenette, emergency call system, and individualized climate control systems. The building has such amenities as a large, elegant dining room, living room, activity room, library, TV lounge, beauty salon and barber shop. Our specially-trained staff is on-site 24-hours a day for your care, comfort and security. The resident care team, together with the resident, determines the services that provide the appropriate level of assistance while promoting optimal independence. Basic Services offered to all Deer Meadow residents include: 24-hour on-site staff Three nutritious meals daily Life enhancing activities Coordination of health resources Base level assistance with activities of daily living Weekly housekeeping Apartment maintenance All utilities (except telephone & cable) Monitoring of resident's health status Our goal at Deer Meadow Assisted Living Community is to meet each resident's needs while maintaining the highest level of choice, dignity, privacy, respect, and individuality. To assure that this is done effectively, an assessment is conducted prior to move-in. Residents, family members, and Deer Meadow staff work together to develop an individually-tailored Assistance Plan. A follow-up family care conference will be held regularly to assure that, as a resident's needs change, the Assistance Plan is adjusted accordingly. In addition to Basic Services, Deer Meadow Assisted Living Community offers Personal Assistance Plans for those who need additional help with their daily routines. Some of these services include: Select diets or snacks Daily assistance with ADL's Assistance with ambulation to and from meals and activities Additional housekeeping services Medication management: monitoring, supervision, or assistance Safety and security checks Meal time reminders Resident fund accounting Medical appointment scheduling Periodic nighttime care Select diabetic care Health services: monitoring, supervision, or assistance Rental Information Deer Meadow Assisted Living Community in Sheridan offers a full range of services for each of our deluxe studio and one-bedroom suites.
